When Sprint approached us to create an app for families, we wanted to create more than just a list of data distribution and a place to make your payment. Instead, we created "Sprint Familytics" — an app that not only informed parents of phone usage, but also created opportunities for family time. Including no phone time at all. Perish the thought.
Some of the app's highlights:
SprintCoin. Think of it as Venmo, only with data. Here, family members can get data from other family members.
But, like everything else in life, nothing is free. That's why family members can trade chores in exchange for data.
The app would also keep track of quality family time spent together. If time spent was low, a notification to start a "Family Huddle" would arrive on the family members' phones. With Family Huddle, families could play games within the app, together, as a family.
